Raymond Allen, best known for creating the 1970s BBC sitcom Some Mother Do \u2018Ave \u2018Em, has died aged 82, his family have confirmed.<\/p>\n
The British television screenwriter and playwright passed away on Sunday (2nd\u00a0<\/sup>October) on the Isle of Wight.<\/p>\n In a statement, his family said: \u201cIt is with greatest sadness that we announce the passing of our much-loved husband, stepfather, and grandad.\u00a0After a short illness, with family and friends by his side, he passed away peacefully.<\/p>\n \u201cHis life\u2019s work gave joy and laughter to many millions of people not just in this country\u00a0but all around the world.\u00a0Raymond has left us all with wonderful memories filled with fun, laughter, and\u00a0love.\u201d<\/p>\n They added: \u201cHe will be remembered as a very humble, kind and generous man.
