Cillian Murphy has confirmed that the script for the upcoming Peaky Blinders<\/a> film is \u201cclose\u201d to being done \u2013 although he hasn\u2019t yet read it.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Dermot Whelan and Dave Moore on Today FM<\/a>, the star said: \u201cI\u2019ve still not read it but that\u2019s the plan, the plan is to make a film and to continue the story but in the cinematic world rather than on the television.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe television part of the story is finished. If there\u2019s more stories to tell, I\u2019m there, I just haven\u2019t read it yet \u2013 but it\u2019s close apparently.\u201d<\/p>

Murphy\u2019s comments echo those made by Peaky boss Steven Knight<\/a> in a recent interview with RadioTimes.com<\/a>, when he said the script was \u201cnearly nearly nearly\u201d finished.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s almost there,\u201d he said. \u201cSo, you know, we\u2019ve got the shooting schedule, we\u2019ve got the dates for when we start, so that\u2019s all going to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking more about what ground the film will cover, Knight also confirmed that it would take place during the Second World War.<\/p>\n
