Peter Capaldi is set to star in Amazon Prime Video<\/a> horror The Devil\u2019s Hour later this month.<\/p>\n

The Doctor Who<\/a> actor will be playing the mysterious Gideon, a character that has been shrouded in mystery ever since the series was announced.<\/p>\n

RadioTimes.com<\/a> had previously revealed he could be a time traveller<\/a>, and now we can exclusively reveal more details.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to be careful not to reveal too much,\u201d Capaldi said when asked who Gideon was. \u201cIn some ways, he\u2019s a criminal. He\u2019s a murderer and a threat to society. So he\u2019s a very, very smart and elusive villain that the police are pursuing (and never quite managing to catch). Until they do.\u201d<\/p>

Capaldi added that, once Gideon is caught, things take a drastic turn. \u201cHe then reveals that he\u2019s not quite what we think he is,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

As well as Capaldi\u2019s Gideon, the series also centres on Jessica Raine\u2019s character Lucy, who is woken every night at 3:33am (the devil\u2019s hour) by terrifying visions, and whose house appears to be haunted.<\/p>\n

How the pair\u2019s lives connect is unclear at this stage, but we luckily don\u2019t have much longer to find out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
