While the television landscape is densely populated these days, the NTAs have picked out some of the most popular shows to nominate<\/a>, from the likes of Bridgerton<\/a>,\u00a0Heartstopper<\/a>, Peaky Blinders<\/a> and Neighbours<\/a> hoping for votes from the general public.<\/p>\n Among those up for a gong this year are \u2013 unsurprisingly \u2013 Ant and Dec, with the Saturday Night Takeaway duo nominated for Best TV Presenter, an award they have won 20 consecutive years in a row.<\/p>\n However, those watching the awards will notice that they\u2019re not in attendance this year and may be wondering why that is. Read on to find out everything we know so far about Ant and Dec missing the 2022 NTAs.<\/p> With Ant and Dec having won a National Television Award 20 years in a row, it\u2019s not like them to miss the annual ceremony \u2013 however, they\u2019re both missing from the big event.<\/p>\n This is most likely down to the fact that they are currently unwell, with the presenting duo pulling out of Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/a> spin-off The Ultimate Magician after testing positive for COVID this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n A Britain\u2019s Got Talent spokesperson told\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/a>: \u201cAnt and Dec are both unwell and have postponed all work commitments until they recover. Sadly, this means they were unable to film Britain\u2019s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician. Whilst we wish them a speedy recovery, we are thrilled to confirm that BGT\u2019s favourite magician, Stephen Mulhern has stepped in.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, a representative for Ant and Dec said: \u201cAfter both feeling unwell Ant & Dec have tested for Covid and unfortunately have both tested positive.
