Amidst a flurry of changes hitting Netflix<\/a> comedy-drama Sex Education<\/a>, another cast member has spoken out about whether they\u2019ll be returning for season 4.<\/p>\n

Ghosts<\/a> star Jim Howick, who plays science teacher and school band conductor Colin Hendricks in Sex Education, has said that he expects to be back next time around despite the devastating closure of Moordale Secondary School<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Howick\u2019s frequent scene partner Rakhee Thakrar \u2013 who plays English teacher Emily Sands \u2013 confirmed she has parted ways with Sex Education<\/a>, casting doubt on whether other Moordale faculty members would be seen again.<\/p>\n

Howick himself admitted some uncertainty, telling RadioTimes.com<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s a long shoot. It\u2019s not like a normal sitcom shoot. So, the truth is, I think I\u2019m involved but I don\u2019t know for sure. And it will definitely be in the second block, if I am.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s too late for me now to be in the first block, I think. But yeah, I haven\u2019t quit. I haven\u2019t left. So if they\u2019ll have me, I\u2019ll come back.\u201d<\/p>

Howick continued that it\u2019s not uncommon for Sex Education to confirm roles at the \u201clast minute\u201d and appeared confident that he would \u201cprobably\u201d be back in some capacity.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s often the way with Sex Education, they have to book massive stars to be in it,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd so, it surprises a few people how last minute a lot of it all is\u2026 I think I\u2019m probably going to come back, I think I would have heard if I\u2019m being cut out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans will be curious to know what these latest developments will mean for Mr Hendricks and Miss Sands, whose romantic relationship had been an ongoing plot thread throughout the first three seasons.<\/p>\n

Howick went on to comment on the cast shake-up that Sex Education has seen in recent months, which has seen Patricia Allison<\/a>, Tanya Reynolds<\/a> and Simone Ashley<\/a> announce their departure, in addition to the aforementioned Thakrar.<\/p>\n
