Channel 5\u2019s upcoming drama The House Across the Street lands tonight (Monday 17th October), introducing viewers to Shirley Henderson\u2019s Claudia \u2013 and the case she\u2019s intent on solving.<\/p>\n

A lonely single mother recovering from cancer, Claudia find herself alienated from her son and overlooked by her community. That is until local child Emily Winter goes missing, when Claudia steps up to lead the search efforts and everything changes.<\/p>\n

A clip exclusive to RadioTimes.com<\/a> gives us a hint of Claudia before she decides to get involved in the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe looks so sweet,\u201d she tells her neighbour Joanne (played by Sarah Powell) of Emily.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe wife wasn\u2019t the friendliest to be honest, but Owen was alright, he always stopped for a chat,\u201d Joanne says of the girl\u2019s parents Sabine and Owen, played by\u00a0Lisa Dwyer Hogg\u00a0and\u00a0Ian Lloyd Anderson respectively, who soon exit their house to plead for their daughter\u2019s safe return in front of the cameras.<\/p>
