Now the show is back with its third volume, diving into a number of more recent murders \u2013 including that of Michigan father David Carter.<\/p>\n
Those who\u2019ve watched Volume 3\u2019s third episode, Body in Bags, will know that the police are currently searching for one suspect in the case: Tammy Williams. But where is Carter\u2019s former girlfriend of six months?<\/p>\n

<\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/picture><\/div> David Carter and his son DJ.<\/span><\/figcaption> Netflix<\/i><\/span><\/div>\nTamera \u2018Tammy\u2019 Williams is a 43-year-old woman who is currently wanted by the US Department of Justice<\/a> for \u201cmutilation, dismemberment of a dead body, tampering with evidence, and felony firearm\u201d in relation to David Carter\u2019s death, according to Fox2<\/a>.<\/p>\nWilliams, who worked at a medical centre and was also a travel agent, had been dating David Carter \u2013 a factory worker in Michigan \u2013 for six months before he was reported missing.<\/p>\n
On 28th September 2018, Williams had attended the football game of Carter\u2019s son DJ, alongside Carter and his family, with DJ\u2019s mother Samia Conner telling Unsolved Mysteries: \u201cDavid and Tammy came to the game together, but weren\u2019t together at the game.\u201d<\/p>\n
Two days later, DJ was supposed to stay with his father, however Conner allegedly received a text from Carter\u2019s phone in which he said that he was ill. DJ visited his father\u2019s house to pick up some belongings and reportedly saw Williams taking out the bins.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe ran to the apartment door \u2013 like ran,\u201d DJ told the Netflix<\/a> documentary. \u201cAnd when I got to my dad\u2019s house, the door was locked. You\u2019d have thought since she saw me, she\u2019d have left it unlocked but I had a key.\u201d<\/p>\nWilliams allegedly told DJ that Carter had gone out for a walk. However, on 2nd October, Carter\u2019s colleague told his family that he hadn\u2019t shown up to work in three days.<\/p>\n
The family then visited his apartment and reportedly found it unlocked and a large blood stain underneath the bed and on top of his mattress, which had been punctured with a gunshot hole.<\/p>\n
Carter\u2019s sister, Tasia Carter-Jackson, told the docuseries: \u201cOn the Tuesday night, after we saw the stain and the bullet hole, I called Tammy and I said, \u2018Tammy \u2013 I\u2019m going to ask you one more time, where is my brother.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd she said, \u2018Tasia, I don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about. I haven\u2019t seen him since Sunday.\u2019 She showed no concern as to me telling her that he was missing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Williams was initially arrested on 5th October 2018 after Carter\u2019s body was found four days prior, however she was released from custody as there wasn\u2019t enough evidence to hold her.<\/p>\n
She fled Detroit in mid-October of that year, according to ClickOnDetroit<\/a>, after which the authorities began looking for her.<\/p>\nWhere is Tammy Williams now?<\/strong><\/h2>\nThe US Department of Justice is still looking for Williams, with the Supervisory Deputy US Marshal Aaron Garcia telling Fox2<\/a> in September 2021: \u201cWe are going to find you.\u201d<\/p>\nHe continued: \u201cWe have been investigating this case for three years and we\u2019ve had very little cooperation at this point. People know where she\u2019s at, they know her location, know how to get in touch with her. They haven\u2019t come forward yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
The US Marshals are reportedly offering a $10,000 reward for information about Williams, with police saying in September 2021 that they think Williams\u2019s family could have helped her run from law enforcement.<\/p>\n
Andrew Battersby of the US Marshals Task Force in Detroit told the documentary: \u201cSomebody is helping her \u2013 financially and also providing her with a roof, a place to stay. She just did not disappear.\u201d<\/p>\n
He believes that Williams could be \u201ca dangerous woman\u201d, adding: \u201cThe weapon that was used has not been recovered so she\u2019s probably armed and dangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Battersby, Williams was seen in Ann Arbor, Michigan on 16th October 2018, where she withdrew cash and had dinner at a restaurant.<\/p>\n
On 17th October, she allegedly took a train to Chicago and then another train to Penn Station, New York City and checked into the Neptune Hotel in her name. She is reported to have stayed one night and on 18th, was spotted on camera leaving the hotel \u2013 which was the last time she was seen.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe could have short braids, she could be wearing wigs,\u201d Battersby added. \u201cThe one thing that\u2019s common on her though \u2013 she has a huge rose tattoo on her left shoulder that goes from the elbow all the way up over the shoulder. That rose bouquet is going to stand out.\u201d<\/p>
