\u201cA valve had blown, and my father was too busy to bother mending it. He said \u2018Oh, I\u2019ll mend it tomorrow,\u2019 and we said \u2018But, but, but, but,\u2019 and he said, \u2018Don\u2019t be ridiculous it\u2019s just a television programme,’\u201d Fry explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I think for the next 20 odd years, there was a little gap in my heart which could only be filled by watching that second episode, which I managed to do eventually, [when] they all came out [on] video and we lived in a different age.\u201d<\/p>\n
