With Jodie Whittaker\u2019s regeneration just around the corner in The Power of the Doctor, former Doctor Who<\/a> star Matt Smith was recently asked how he feels looking back at his own regeneration in The Time of the Doctor.<\/p>\n Smith\u2019s Eleventh Doctor bowed out in the show\u2019s 2013 Christmas special, during which he fought against the Daleks and thousands of other alien invaders who were looking to attack the planet Trenzalore.<\/p>\n Asked at Motor City Comic Con whether he liked the ending his Doctor was given, Smith said: \u201cWell, look, it\u2019s always hard leaving that show because it\u2019s such a wonderful part to leave.<\/p>\n \u201cI knew I had to leave really but part of you goes, \u2018Oh I could stay for a bit\u2019. Regenerating is a tough\u2026 was it the best episode it could be? I dunno, maybe, maybe not.<\/p>\n \u201cBut I thought Steven [Moffat] wrote some really great stuff. And it was nice, I had Jenna [Coleman] and Karen [Gillan] there as the two companions and stuff so yeah \u2013 look, I was proud of the body of work up to that point.
