He continued: \u201cDrax is a working man\u2019s Han Solo. Imagine a cross between Alfie Moon, Arthur Daley and a little bit of Ray Winstone. He\u2019s a lovely character and the script is so well-written. Playing in it is a great <\/span>honour<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve bumped into some old friends who I\u2019ve not seen in years, like the lovely <\/span><\/span>Nina Wadia<\/span><\/span>. We had a lot of catching up to do<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>i<\/span>t\u2019s been a wonderful experience.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Wadia said<\/span><\/span>: \u201cI thought the script was brilliant! It\u2019s always a lot of fun and what was nice about this <\/span>particular one<\/span> was reuniting with Shane Richie.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s always a good laugh and you know you\u2019re going to have a good time when he\u2019s on board. It\u2019s nice to be back in the studio with fellow actors \u2013 I\u2019ve missed that.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>

The synopsis for Here Lies Drax says: \u201c<\/span><\/span>The Doctor, Liv and Helen are surprised to get a letter delivered to the TARDIS from the Doctor\u2019s old school friend, Drax.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re even more surprised when it\u2019s followed by a parcel also sent by the intergalactic <\/span>con-man<\/span>, asking them to keep its contents safe. Contents that seem to be a lot of worthless junk.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd their surprise gets even bigger when this parcel is itself followed by an invitation\u2026 to Drax\u2019s funeral. And that\u2019s just where the surprises start.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cast for Connections also includes <\/span><\/span>Jeff Rawle (<\/span><\/span>Hollyoaks<\/span><\/span><\/a>), Hugh Ross (<\/span><\/span>Outlander<\/span><\/span><\/a>) and Jamie <\/span>Zubairi<\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>Cucumber<\/span><\/span>).<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This comes at a busy time for the Whoniverse \u2013 Jodie Whittaker is set to bow out as the Thirteenth Doctor<\/a> on screen this week, David Tennant is about to make a comeback<\/a> for the show\u2019s 60th anniversary<\/a> next year, and on the audio side Michael Troughton has stepped into his father Patrick\u2019s shoes<\/a> to voice the Second Doctor.<\/p>\n
