It took 10 minutes for us to meet back up with \u1e62\u1ecdp\u1eb9\u0301 D\u00ecr\u00eds\u00f9\u2019s Elliot<\/a>, but its fair to say that when we did he made quite the impression on his reintroduction.<\/p>\n In a scene full of blood splattering and carnage, we made our way through a laundrette, clearly seeing the immediate aftermath of a whirlwind attack \u2013 when we finally saw where it came from, it became clear it was Elliot.<\/p>\n The series\u2019 showrunner Colin Hardy recently broke down this moment when speaking with RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press, and explained that it was partly inspired by an iconic hero of the action genre \u2013 none other than James Bond<\/a>.<\/p>\n Hardy said: \u201cThere\u2019s this sequence in the laundrette when we\u2019re moving through in the wake of what we find out to be Elliot\u2019s mayhem and we wanted a way of introducing our lead character on the job, a little bit like you\u2019d get in a James Bond movie where you catch up with him in the end of a mission and treat it as a way to meet the character, but also show his character.<\/p>\n \u201cSo he isn\u2019t just some sort of slick assassin. He\u2019s obviously very capable, we know that, but I wanted to make sure it reflected that he\u2019s operating pretty messily. He\u2019s drinking, he\u2019s really worn out from this, what\u2019s been a year of killing for the investors.<\/p>\n \u201cSo that had to be reflected and I thought bringing the camera through almost like this alley of death and seeing the kind of carnage that he\u2019s caused, but just as you meet him he gets slammed into the lockers, was an interesting start point.\u201d<\/p> Hardy took over this season from previous showrunner Gareth Evans, and D\u00ecr\u00eds\u00f9 recently told RadioTimes.com<\/a> that the switch up created a \u201cdifferent atmosphere\u201d<\/a> for season 2.<\/p>\n D\u00ecr\u00eds\u00f9 said of Hardy: \u201cHe\u2019s really put his own stamp on this season.
