It was a celebratory episode of Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> this evening as the dancing show pay tribute to the BBC as it turned 100.<\/p>\n The special opened with an incredible number from the professional dancers which saw 14 BBC shows crashed and guest appearances from 35 stars.<\/p>\n Set to the tune of Bring Me Sunshine (made famous by an iconic Morecambe and Wise routine), Huw Edwards opened the number with some breaking news.<\/p>\n Picking up his ukulele, he said: \u201cSome of us are too busy to dance \u2013 we have work to do.<\/p>\n \u201cThis was named after me, it\u2019s a Huwulele.\u201d<\/p> We then took a tour around the broadcaster\u2019s biggest hits, moving from BBC News to BBC Breakfast and A Question Of Sport.<\/p>\n Antiques Roadshow, Top Gear and Match of the Day quickly followed before appearances by Live at the Apollo, University Challenge, Casualty and MasterChef.<\/p>\n A brilliant #BBC100<\/a> extravaganza, bringing fun and sunshine to the Ballroom \u2728 #Strictly<\/a> pic.twitter.com\/RGw2n88Eut<\/a><\/p>\u2014 BBC Strictly \u2728 (@bbcstrictly) October 22, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote>
