A few eyebrows were raised when Danel Br\u00fchl\u2019s name was left off the cast list for the upcoming MCU<\/a> flick Thunderbolts earlier in the year \u2013 with some fans questioning what this could mean for the future of Baron Zemo.<\/p>\n

The film is set to follow a group of Marvel antiheroes including Bucky Barnes\/Winter Solider (Sebastian Stan), Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), and many had assumed Br\u00fchl\u2019s Zemo would also be featuring.<\/p>

Of course, the last we saw of Zemo he was being taken to Wakanda as a prisoner at the end of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier<\/a> \u2013 and so it\u2019s possible that he could still feature in the film after he\u2019s broken free.<\/p>\n

And indeed Br\u00fchl himself has cryptically teased that he will<\/em> return, making some intriguing comments during an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com<\/a> to promote his role in the new adaptation of All Quiet on the Western Front<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven if I could\u2026 I couldn\u2019t, you know,\u201d he said when asked if he could offer an explanation for his absence from the cast list. \u201cThe only thing I can say, everybody knows \u2013 is I\u2019m not dead!\u201d<\/p>\n

This may not reveal a huge amount about whether Zemo really will feature in Thunderbolts after all, but it certainly looks like we\u2019ll be seeing more of Br\u00fchl in the MCU in the future \u2013 we\u2019ll keep you posted on any new updates.<\/p>\n
