Sheridan Smith steps into her outrageous new role in the first trailer for Sky Comedy\u2019s Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything.<\/p>\n

The BAFTA-winning actor plays the title character, whose long list of addictions is starting to have a terrible impact on her personal relationships, culminating in an embarrassing incident at her brother\u2019s \u201cdry\u201d wedding.<\/p>\n

As a result, she makes the difficult decision to simply give up everything \u2013 from smoking to sex and alcohol to Adderall \u2013 on a mission to go \u201cfrom Keith Richards to Lindsay Lohan\u201d, as she explains in the trailer.<\/p>

The series boasts a starry cast, with Smith appearing alongside comedy greats Pauline McLynn (Shameless) and Ardal O\u2019Hanlon (Father Ted) as her parents, while I May Destroy You\u2019s Lewis Reeves plays her younger brother, Joey.<\/p>\n

Check out the trailer below:<\/p>\n\nRosie Molloy Gives Up Everything was <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/comedy\/sheridan-smith-rosie-molloy-sky-newsupdate\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">announced as part of Sky\u2019s winter slate<\/a> earlier this year, in addition to Romesh Ranganathan and Katherine Ryan team-up Romantic Getaway, and <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/comedy\/suranne-jones-christmas-carole-sky-newsupdate\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Suranne Jones\u2019 festive offering Christmas Carole<\/a>.<\/p>\nThe six-part series looks rather chaotic and brimming with cheeky humour, but there is also scope for more dramatic scenes relating to the serious theme of addiction, with one character warning Rosie that she could be \u201cvery poorly\u201d.<\/p>\nThe new series reunites Smith with Susan Nickson, who previously wrote for BBC Three comedies Two Pints of Lager and Grownups, while Home and <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/comedy\/mel-sue-hitmen-sky-review\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Hitmen<\/a>\u2018s David Sant is serving as director.<\/p>\nRosie Molloy Gives Up Everything comes to Sky Comedy and NOW from Wednesday 7th December.
