Calling all Drag Race<\/a> fans \u2013 ITV\u2019s Queens for the Night airs this weekend and it looks set to be fabulously fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hosted by self-confessed drag super fan Lorraine Kelly<\/a>, the one-off special will see famous faces transform into drag queens and embrace their inner diva.<\/span><\/p>\n

After they\u2019ve had their big makeover, the stars will be mentored by an established Drag Queen as they learn the ropes to the art of drag \u2013 with varying degrees of success.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Viewers will follow along their drag journey as each of the celebrities learn to walk in heels and hone their drag skills \u2013 which include everything from drag magic to lip syncing.<\/span><\/p>\n

As each of the queens take it in turn to perform in front of a studio audience, it\u2019s over to the judging panel to have their say on how they\u2019ve done. The panel is made up of Spice Girl Melanie C, comedian Rob Beckett<\/a>, World famous Drag artist Courtney Act and West End hit Everybody\u2019s Talking About Jamie actor Layton Williams.<\/span><\/p>\n

After hearing the panel\u2019s feedback, the studio audience will cast their votes \u2013 but who has what it takes to beat their competition and be crowned the ultimate Queen?<\/span><\/p>\n

Simon, best known as Coronation Street<\/a>\u2018s Steve McDonald, is swapping the Cobbles for drag \u2013 and he\u2019s feeling the nerves.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The star, who also appeared on last year\u2019s I\u2019m a Celebrity\u2026 Get Me Out Of Here!<\/a>, said: \u201cI have been known to don some ladies\u2019 clothes in the past for a bit of a giggle, but I\u2019ve never done anything serious so this is the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n

The iconic fitness instructor, whose real name is Derrick Errol Evans, is used to being flamboyant and fun on our screens after getting the nation fit since the early \u201990s.<\/span><\/p>\n

But Queens for the Night takes that to a whole new level \u2013 and he loved every second of the experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Motivator said: \u201cYou know what I\u2019m having the time of my life. When you step out of your comfort zone and you do something you\u2019ve never done and to have the support of Asttina who is great.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After being propelled to fame on 2017\u2019s Love Island<\/a>, Chris has become a familiar face on our screens \u2013 b<\/span>ut reality fans will see him in a completely different light as he takes on the challenge of finding his inner diva.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about why he signed up for the extravaganza, Chris explained: \u201c<\/span>I want to be a drag queen because in this world there\u2019s so much toxic masculinity issues, it\u2019s stigmatised.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a very emotional person, I cry on camera all the time whenever discussing emotional things. I\u2019m a man and we should be able to cry. It\u2019s great to be able to break that stigma down and people should be able to be themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf you want to cry, if you want to wear heels, if you want to wear makeup, it doesn\u2019t matter who you are, you should be able to do your thing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But now, the co-host of T<\/span>he Joe Marler Show podcast alongside Tom Fordyce wants a brand new challenge \u2013 and he\u2019s certainly got one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI want to try something different, get out of my comfort zone and why not try drag. It\u2019s great fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s lots of different qualities you need to be successful in drag. Strong calves are probably up there, but the main one is the ability to free yourself up, let yourself go and just go with the character as much as you can.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
