Plot details about season 2 of The Watcher are being kept under wraps for now, so it\u2019s unclear if it will continue the story from the first season, which ended on an ambiguous note<\/a>, or become an anthology series.<\/span><\/p>\n The streamer has also ordered two additional instalments of Murphy\u2019s anthology series\u00a0Dahmer \u2013 Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Netflix has not yet revealed which real-life criminals seasons 2 and 3 will revolve around, but the streamer has teased the new chapters will focus on<\/span>\u00a0\u201cmonstrous figures who have impacted society.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Bela Bajaria, Head of Global TV at Netflix, said in a statement alongside the renewal news:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cAudiences can\u2019t take their eyes off <\/span>Monster<\/span> and <\/span>The Watcher.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She added: \u201cThe creative team of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan on <\/span>Monster<\/span> along with Eric Newman on <\/span>The Watcher<\/span> are masterful storytellers who captivated audiences all over the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She continued: \u201cThe back-to-back force of these two series is due to Ryan\u2019s distinct original voice which created cultural sensations and we are thrilled to continue telling stories in the <\/span>Monster<\/span> and <\/span>Watcher<\/span> universes.\u201d<\/span><\/p> The Watcher, based on a true story<\/a>\u00a0about a family whose lives are turned upside down by a stalker\u00a0and featuring Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale, raked up almost 341 million hours of worldwide viewing in the 18 days after its premiere on 13th October.<\/span><\/p>\n Dahmer, meanwhile, starring Evan Peters as the notorious serial killer, became Netflix\u2019s second most-watched English language series after Stranger Things over its first four weeks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Watcher and DAHMER \u2013 Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story are available to watch on Netflix now.
