Industry site Broadcast<\/a> estimates that showrunner Russell T Davies\u2019s show\u2019s existing \u201c\u00a31-3m per episode budget could triple to circa-\u00a310m\u201d when filming begins for\u00a0the show\u2019s 14th season, with Ncuti Gatwa taking over from Jodie Whittaker as the 15th Doctor.<\/p>\n An insider told the publication: \u201cBeyond the hardcore fans, Doctor Who has never quite become a broad appeal show.
