The last week has seen some of the most dramatic episodes of Love Island<\/a> so far \u2013 all thanks to Casa Amor<\/a>, which introduced us to the Casa Amor 2021 cast<\/a> including 12 new contestants, who were brought in to turn the heads of the villa\u2019s committed couples.<\/p>\n

While last night\u2019s exciting episode saw various betrayals (ahem- Liam\u00a0and Millie) and emotional reunions with the likes of Liberty and Jake, it also gave us brand new couple \u2013\u00a0 Hugo Hammond and Amy Day \u2013 who walked back into the main villa hand-in-hand as an official pairing.<\/p>\n

Who is Amy Day?<\/h2>\n

Amy is a Surrey-based performer who\u2019s worked on cruise ships and hopes to perform on the West End one day.<\/p>\n

She describes herself as a \u201cmassive girls\u2019 girl\u201d but isn\u2019t afraid to step on some toes in the villa. \u201cObviously I\u2019m here to find love,\u201d she says. \u201cSo I would let them know I am interested and then gauge what they\u2019re feeling as well. I will step on toes if needs be, but that\u2019s obviously not my aim.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hoping to bring some fun to the villa, Amy says she doesn\u2019t take anything seriously. \u201cI don\u2019t get knocked back easily, I\u2019m always like this is what was meant to happen. I\u2019m positive and also a really good friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Why did Amy sign up for Love Island?<\/h2>\n

When asked why she decided to enter the Casa Amor villa, Amy said that she needed a bit of help in the dating department.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m clearly not very good at dating myself. I\u2019m looking forward to the experience and the potential of finding someone I might not have met.\u201d<\/p>\n

What is Amy looking for in a partner?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

While she\u2019s now coupled up with Hugo, she didn\u2019t have her eye on anyone before entering the Casa Amor villa, saying: \u201cI\u2019m just going to see what the vibe is.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for what Amy will bring to the villa, she said she\u2019s hoping to bring the fun. \u201cI\u2019m always being stupid. Like Faye playing the egg game \u2013 I\u2019d get people up. I\u2019d say let\u2019s play this game, I\u2019d be in the pool.\u201d<\/p>
