The BBC One show will reportedly introduce its first all-male same-sex couple in this year’s competition. <\/p>
BBC dance show Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> has reportedly signed up its first male celebrity to compete in a same-sex couple for this year\u2019s competition.<\/p>\n According to The Sun<\/a>, Strictly professional Graziano Di Prima will be paired with a male contestant for the upcoming series, with the show approaching Olympic gold medallist Tom Daley and comedian Alan Carr.<\/p>\n \u201cThe bosses are thrilled that Strictly will be able to show its first all-male couple this year,\u201d a source told the publication.\u00a0\u201cAnd they have their sights firmly on Graziano.\u201d<\/p> RadioTimes.com reached out to the BBC, but they declined to comment.<\/p>\n Last year\u2019s series saw boxer Nicola Adams dance with 2017 winner and pro Katya Jones, with the duo becoming Strictly Come Dancing<\/a>\u2018s first ever all-female couple.<\/p>\n The long-running BBC One show has featured same-sex performances between male dancers in the past, however these have been one-off occasions during the professional routines such as 2018\u2019s number to Imagine Dragons hit Believer<\/a>.<\/p>\n An all-male same-sex partnership wouldn\u2019t be the only first for Strictly this year as the show announced last month that Anton Du Beke would be replacing Bruno Tonioli<\/a> as a permanent judge for the upcoming series.<\/p>\n As for the Strictly Come Dancing professionals<\/a>,\u00a0four new faces<\/a> have been added to the line-up after Du Beke\u2019s move to the judging panel and Janette Manrara\u2019s Strictly exit for a new gig on It Takes Two<\/a>.<\/p>\n Kai Widdrington, Nikita Kuzmin, Cameron Lombard and Jowita Przystal will be appearing in this year\u2019s series \u2013 however, we\u2019re yet to find out whether they\u2019ll be paired with celebrities.<\/p>\n Last year\u2019s competition saw comedian Bill Bailey lift the coveted Glitterball Trophy alongside his professional partner Oti Mabuse<\/a>, as the pair became Strictly\u2019s 18th champions.<\/p>\n
