Okay, here\u2019s one we weren\u2019t expecting. A new Stranger Things<\/a> spinoff is coming, in the shape of a Virtual Reality game, and we won\u2019t be following the goodies this time. Instead, you\u2019ll take on the terrifying role of Vecna.<\/p>\n Over the last few years, there have been several attempts to make video games based on Stranger Things \u2014 right now you can play Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game and Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales in the Netflix mobile app \u2014 but this new one sounds particularly creepy.<\/p>\n Due to be developed by a specialist VR company called Tender Claws, in full collaboration with Netflix, Stranger Things VR has been described as \u201ca psychological horror\/action game\u201d that will let you play as Vecna, the nightmare-fuelling villain at the heart of the latest season.<\/p>\n Tapping into the villain\u2019s backstory, if you play this game, you will be able to \u201cbecome an explorer of unknown realities as you form the hive mind and tame the void.\u201d<\/p>\n On top of that, you\u2019ll be able to \u201cinvade minds and conjure nightmares in your quest to enact revenge on Eleven and Hawkins.\u201d Sounds like a nice, chilled way to spend a few hours, right?<\/p> A selection of screenshots have already been shared on the Tender Claws website<\/a>, including an eye-catching shot of Eleven covered in a blood in a hospital gown. There\u2019s also a shot of the massive Mind-Flayer, the interior of a car, and some kind of creepy slithering landscape.<\/p>\n Stranger Things VR has also received its first trailer, which we\u2019ve included for your viewing pleasure \u2014 or should that be terror? \u2014 below.
