<\/p>
The Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> stars took to the ballroom floor for Week 8 of the competition last night and with Blackpool on the horizon, there couldn\u2019t be more at stake.<\/p>\n While there wasn\u2019t a theme this weekend, we were still treated to an array of fun, moving and sometimes emotional songs and dances<\/a> as the remaining nine contestants<\/a> vied for a top spot on the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you missed last night\u2019s show, then not to worry \u2013 you can watch a round-up of RadioTimes.com<\/a>\u2018s favourite moments in the Strictly Catch Up video above.<\/p>\n Ellie Taylor<\/a> kicked off the evening with her energetic Charleston to Friendship by Elaine Paige and Bernard Cribbins, receiving a score of 31 from the judges and glowing feedback as Anton remarked she \u201ccould be a musical theatre star\u201d.<\/p>\n Tyler West<\/a> followed with his Paso Doble to Unstoppable, however one of the most notable aspects of the segment was Shirley Ballas correcting her awkward mistake<\/a> around Dianne Buswell\u2019s name.<\/p>\n Later on in the night, Kym Marsh<\/a> performed a meaningful American Smooth, Helen Skelton<\/a> wowed with her Salsa and Tony Adams<\/a> tried his best with the Jive \u2013 although Craig Revel Horwood labelled it a \u201ctechnical disaster\u201d.<\/p>\n One of the highlights of the evening however was Molly Rainford<\/a>\u2018s Rumba, for which she received her highest score in the competition yet, with Shirley describing it as \u201cexquisite\u201d. Although, some fans believe she was undermarked<\/a>, with many taking to Twitter to write that she deserved four 10s.<\/p> Fleur East<\/a> went on to top the leaderboard with her near-perfect Samba, reducing Motsi to tears (of joy!) before Shirley commented that it was the best Samba she had ever seen.<\/p>\n More tears followed for Will Mellor<\/a>\u2018s emotional Waltz, which he dedicated to his late father<\/a>, earning him two 10s and a heap praise from the judges.<\/p>\n To close the show, Hamza Yassin<\/a> took to the stage for his Couple\u2019s Choice, performing the first-ever Afrobeats routine on Strictly Come Dancing and picking up three 10s.<\/p>\n After a hugely moving night of stellar dances, it\u2019s hard to tell who exactly will be going home after this impressive week \u2013 however, we\u2019ll soon find out in tonight\u2019s Results Show.<\/p>\n Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One.\u00a0<\/strong>Looking for something else to watch?
