Speaking at an event in Los Angeles moderated by Patton Oswalt over the weekend, they revealed that they had already turned in the first script and were working away on the second. \u201cIt\u2019s full steam ahead,\u201d Ross Duffer said (via The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>).<\/p>\n Matt Duffer revealed that only a select few people know how the series will end, but they did pitch it in a two-hour meeting to Netflix<\/a> executives \u2013 and made them cry.<\/p>\n \u201cWe did get our executives to cry, which I felt was a good sign that these executives were crying,\u201d he said. \u201cThe only other times I\u2019ve seen them cry were like budget meetings.\u201d<\/p>\n Considering how Stranger Things season 4 ended<\/a> \u2013 with Joseph Quinn\u2019s Eddie sacrificing himself and Sadie Sink\u2019s Max in a coma \u2013 the comments certainly seem to put the rest of the characters\u2019 fates at risk.<\/p>\n Executive producer Shawn Levy added: \u201cAs a witness and having been in that two-hour pitch room and having read this first script \u2013 I\u2019m paralysed with fear that I\u2019ll spoil anything but I will say the thing about these Duffer brothers is that even though the show has gotten so famous and the characters have gotten so iconic and there\u2019s so much about the \u201980s and the supernatural and the genre, it\u2019s about these people, it\u2019s about these characters.<\/p>\n \u201cSeason 5 is already so clearly taking care of these stories of the characters because that\u2019s always been the lifeblood of Stranger Things.\u201d<\/p>\n Here\u2019s hoping that involves making it out of the Upside Down alive.<\/p> Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are available on\u00a0Netflix<\/a>\u00a0now. <\/strong>Sign up for Netflix from \u00a36.99 a month<\/a>.
