The EastEnders actor had some wise words for any celebs considering signing up for the show, which is returning to Wales later this year. <\/p>
There is a lot we still don\u2019t know about I\u2019m A Celebrity 2021<\/a> \u2013 including the line-up, the start date \u2013 but what we do know is this year\u2019s edition will once again take place in Wales following 2020\u2019s hugely successful run in the historic Gwrych Castle, Abergel.<\/p>\n The show was forced to abandon its home in Australia due to COVID travel restrictions in 2020, and it looks like this year will be no different. Despite the change in location, I\u2019m A Celebrity 2020 was ITV\u2019s biggest show<\/a>, and the Welsh countryside proved as challenging \u2013 if not more \u2013 as the Australian bush.<\/p>\n RadioTimes.com<\/a> spoke to 2020\u00a0contestant Shane Richie following the location news. Despite taking on some sickening \u2013 in the literal sense \u2013 challenges, the EastEnders actor came fourth, with co-star Giovanna Fletcher being crowned the first Queen of the Castle.<\/p> Shane revealed he was \u201cexcited\u201d to see the show return to Wales once more.<\/p>\n \u201c[I\u2019m] excited to see I\u2019m A Celebrity go back to the Wales knowing I played a small part in putting down the foundations in the castle as well as sleeping on them!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Shane has previously been vocal about just how difficult the Welsh location was, telling This Morning host Holly Willoughby he lost \u201cjust under a stone\u201d after his infamous drinking challenge.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThankfully they didn\u2019t show it on tape because I didn\u2019t want my family getting upset but I thought I was going to have to see a doctor\u2026 I had a few tablets and I had a dodgy stomach, so that\u2019s kind of where I lost my weight.\u201d<\/p>\n Luckily, Shane had some advice for any celebs considering signing up for this year, saying: \u201c[A] bit of training won\u2019t go amiss!\u201d<\/p>\n Looking for something else to watch?
