The PS5 has been in high demand since its launch in 2020 (or even before that, to be honest), but now it\u2019s finally becoming a little bit easier to get your hands on Sony\u2019s latest console. But will we see deals for Black Friday this year?<\/p>\n

Well, there\u2019s good news and bad news. The good news is, this is the first Black Friday when its actually been quite doable to order a PS5 from a major retailer (rather having to buy one second-hand at a huge markup, as was a very common occurrence previously).<\/p>\n

And what\u2019s the bad news? Well, with the PS5 still being a highly popular purchase, Sony and its retail partners haven\u2019t exactly been desperate to slash its price. But if you shop smart, by checking at different places, and consider buying a bundle to boost your saving potential, you can still be a happy shopper if you play your cards right.<\/p>\n

The PS5 remains both popular and in short supply, so prices aren\u2019t expected to go down on the base console. Amazingly, the RRP has actually gone up since the console\u2019s release \u2014 from \u00a3449.99 to \u00a3479.99<\/strong>. However, it\u2019s still possible to make some small savings on bundles.<\/p>\n

Bundles put the console together with extras like games, controllers and headsets and essentially give you savings on those accessories. You\u2019ll be spending more than the price of the console itself but getting better value if the accessories appeal.<\/p>\n

As stated, the only real \u2018deals\u2019 available right now are on bundles grouping the console with other products. However, even some of those aren\u2019t really offering savings as such. Rather, retailers are bundling PS5s with other products so they can sell more products in total, given that PlayStations sell out under any circumstances currently.<\/p>\n

It is occasionally possible to buy a PS5 without a bundle at Amazon, or via the PlayStation website, but stock is scarce in both cases and an invitation is required to do so on Amazon.<\/p>\n

The first of these \u2018deals\u2019 offers a PS5 with God of War Ragnar\u00f6k, so there\u2019s no saving as such, given that the base price of the console is \u00a3479.99 and the game costs \u00a362.99. With Argos pricing the bundle at \u00a3539.99 \u2014giving you a humongous \u00a32 saving \u2014 it\u2019s not exactly a bargain to write home about. Unfortunately, stock is scarce enough that it\u2019s as good a deal as you\u2019re likely to find right now.<\/p>\n
