The series, which returned for season 2 last month, sees Coolidge\u2019s character \u2013 who is one of the few returning from the show\u2019s first season \u2013 embark on another holiday at the White Lotus Sicily.<\/p>\n
Chatting to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press about the actor, Leo Woodall (Jack) was full of praise, saying: \u201cShe\u2019s very funny. She\u2019s very warm and sweet. She\u2019s clearly a master of what she does, and incredibly humble and generous. She was lovely.\u201d<\/p>\n Tom Hollander (Quentin) echoed Woodall, adding: \u201cShe\u2019s a very singular human being, and being able to share some scenes with her in this character was a great thrill and privilege. She\u2019s very vulnerable as well as being hilarious and clever and beautiful. We had some good chats.\u201d<\/p>\n Woodall also revealed that Coolidge would \u201cmake up the most random lines at any point\u201d, adding: \u201cShe\u2019s so<\/em> good. There was a dinner scene. It was the first scene we all had together and she started saying, \u2018I saw a squid on the beach today the size of a wheelbarrow.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cIt came out of nowhere [laughs].\u201d<\/p>\n In the series\u2019s latest episode, Tanya stumbled upon Jack and Quentin having sex, which is concerning given the pair are supposedly uncle and nephew \u2013 \u201cYou\u2019ll have to see,\u201d White told Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a pleasure to me as a guy who is gay-ish to make gay sex transgressive again,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt\u2019s dirty\u2026 men are having sex and you have this \u2018Psycho\u2019 music underneath. It just amuses me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n He continued: \u201cI just think transgressive sex is sexier. I guess I\u2019m old school. There\u2019s this Gothic vibe of walking through a haunted hotel or haunted house and people are having sex behind closed doors.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Woodall said that he was \u201cspeechless for a while\u201d when he first learned what was in store for his character, adding, \u201cAnything that Mike White does with this show is kind of perfect, so there were no reservations about it. It felt like an incredibly \u2018wow\u2019 moment.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Hollander said that he was \u201cexcited\u201d for viewers to see it, but he also had a \u201ctiny bit of anxiety\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201c<\/span>I\u2019m not quite sure what it\u2019s to do with \u2014 but mostly I\u2019m excited.\u201d<\/span><\/p> The White Lotus season 2 is available to watch on Sky and NOW<\/a>.
