Yasmin Finney, Heartstopper<\/a> star soon to appear in Doctor Who<\/a>, has won the Rose d\u2019Or Emerging Talent Award at this year\u2019s ceremony.<\/p>\n The award, which has previously gone to Nida Manzoor and Daisy Edgar-Jones, was presented to Finney at last night\u2019s ceremony, hosted by Alex Horne, for her work in Netflix<\/a> hit Heartstopper earlier this year.<\/p>\n Finney said of receiving the award: \u201cIt means the most to know that the roles that I play not only give representation to a community that has needed it for so long, but it\u2019s being celebrated and rewarded, so thank you guys so much.\u201d<\/p>\n Other winners at this year\u2019s Rose d\u2019Or Awards included Brian Cox, who was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and shows including Succession<\/a> in the Drama category and Toast of Tinseltown in the Comedy category.<\/p>\n Congratulations again to Yasmin Finney for her win of Emerging Talent Award
