The Slow Horses<\/a> star is one of the actors reported to be in contention for the iconic part<\/a>, and he touched upon the rumours in a new interview with <\/span>RadioTimes.com<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Lowden said that as a fan of the long-running spy franchise, it still feels \u201cbizarre\u201d to think about someone else stepping into 007\u2019s Aston Martin, as he \u201cgrew up\u201d watching Craig on the big screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s quite bizarre because it feels like Daniel Craig is still Bond so even to\u2026 as a fan, even to sort of be contemplating anyone else playing him\u2026 I mean, I don\u2019t envy them, how they\u2019re gonna replace him because I still think he is [Bond],\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHe was mine. That\u2019s who I grew up with.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n His Slow Horses co-star Kristin Scott Thomas<\/a> suggested that Bond stars often seem to be irreplaceable, until fans get used to the next iteration of the classic character \u2013 and backed her colleague in the race for 007, suggesting he\u2019d be \u201cvery good\u201d in the role.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m old enough to remember when Sean Connery was Bond and Sean Connery then wasn\u2019t Bond and it was like, \u2018Who else can be Bond?\u2019 \u2013 but they do, they turn up,\u201d she told RadioTimes.com<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a tough job they\u2019ve got,\u201d Lowden added, prompting Scott Thomas to reply: \u201cIt\u2019s a very, very tough job.
