<\/p>
Gary Oldman is set to reprise the role of irascible MI5 agent Jackson Lamb for Slow Horses<\/a> season 2.<\/p>\n The spy thriller, based on Mick Herron\u2019s novel series, is set to return to Apple TV+<\/a> on Friday 2nd December \u2013 and it looks like the past will be back to haunt the leader of Slough House, AKA where service rejects go to die,<\/p>\n RadioTimes.com<\/a> sat down with Oldman ahead of season 2\u2019s release to discuss what the new episodes have in store for his character.<\/p>\n When asked whether it was fair to say that season 2 featured a more personal story for Lamb, the Darkest Hour actor said: \u201cYeah, that\u2019s fair to say \u2013 the so-called natural death of Dicky Bow, that brings up a lot of the past for Lamb and from the get go he really has a suspicion that there\u2019s more to it than meets the eye, and believes that he was murdered, [so] he recruits his, you know, his gang of losers and misfits [to investigate].<\/p>\n \u201cDicky\u2019s from that sort of Cold War era and Lamb knew him, if not directly worked with him. He knew him from that era. It\u2019s like that sort of marine mentality, isn\u2019t it? You know, \u2018We never leave a man behind,\u2019 kind of thing. He\u2019s very protective and loyal in that sense.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cSo yes, it is [more personal] \u2013 it really is literally, the past [\u2026] being asleep for years, and then kind of bubbles up and comes to the surface.
