<\/p>
Line of Duty star Vicky McClure is taking on a very different role to that of DI Kate Fleming in\u00a0Without Sin<\/a>, which is coming soon to ITV\u2019s new streaming platform ITVX.<\/p>\n Set in Nottingham, the series reunites the actress with her This Is England \u201986 co-star Johnny Harris.<\/p>\n The psychological thriller sees McClure playing the grieving mother of a murdered teenage girl, who confronts the man imprisoned for the murder but is astounded when new revelations emerge.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> at a showcase for ITVX, McClure highlighted the contrast between Without Sin and her recent roles.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very different to the action-packed shows that I\u2019ve been doing,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was a nice change.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was much more emotive in the way that it was at a much slower pace \u2013 and the drama was elsewhere. It was very different but that\u2019s what I like to do, mix it up.\u201d<\/p>\n On the subject of reuniting with Harris for the new drama, McClure continued: \u201cI got to work with my best mate.<\/p>\n \u201cMe and Johnny have always and always will have this weird imposter syndrome where we remember doing This Is England \u201986 together and going, \u2018I wonder if I\u2019ll be able to afford to buy my own house one day \u2013 wonder if we\u2019ll get another job.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cSo the fact that we\u2019re here with our own ITV show is quite surreal.\u201d<\/p> Sadly, for those hoping for further details about the potential future of Line of Duty<\/a>, the Kate Fleming star couldn\u2019t give much away.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019d love to [do more episodes] and there\u2019s always chatter about it,\u201d she confirmed. \u201cBut nothing to report, I\u2019m afraid.\u201d<\/p>\n Additional reporting by Abby Robinson.<\/em><\/p>\n Without Sin will be released on ITVX on 28th December.
