Prime Video<\/a> has shared a first-look at The Boys<\/a>\u2018 sister show Gen V \u2013 and when it comes to gore and blood-spattered violence, there\u2019s definitely a family resemblance.<\/p>\n

The upcoming spin-off, which is set to arrive on the streamer in 2023, follows young Supes as they embrace college life at Godolkin University, putting their \u201cphysical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the trailer, we\u2019re given a sneak peek at the brand new cast<\/a>, including Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Jaz Sinclair, The Rookie\u2019s Lizze Broadway, The Staircase\u2019s Patrick Schwarzenegger and Bridgerton<\/a>\u2018s Shelley Conn as they jump into life at university, which is described as \u201ca safe space for you to thrive\u201d.<\/p>\n

But the various teaser shots prove that it\u2019s the complete opposite, with bone-crunching fights, human remains, beheaded puppets and lots of blood (in typical The Boys fashion) par for the course.<\/p>\n

Watch it below.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Boys fans will also spot a few familiar faces in the trailer, with Jessie T Usher, Colby Minifie and PJ Byrne set to reprise their roles as A-Train, Ashley Barrett and Adam Bourke.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Video <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/sci-fi\/the-boys-spin-off-amazon-prime-video\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">announced the drama back in 2020<\/a> and the cast was confirmed earlier this year on The Boys\u2019 social channels, with Sinclair \u2013 who plays Marie Moreau \u2013 saying that she was \u201cso excited to be a part of this show\u201d which features \u201clove and beautiful relationships and tons of action and superheroes\u201d.<\/p> <p>Broadway, who plays Emma Shaw, added that the show will be filled with \u201cblood, guts and everything else\u201d, while Perdomo said that it\u2019s \u201cf***ed up\u201d, which fans are \u201cgonna like\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The new series will also see Clancy Brown, Alexander Calvert and Jason Ritter take on roles, with Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serving as Gen V\u2019s showrunners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gen V will stream on\u00a0<a href=\""https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/streaming\/amazon-prime-video\/"\">Amazon Prime Video<\/a>.
