Alfie actor Shane Richie has opened up on his character\u2019s plans to win back his ex-wife (Jessie Wallace), now in a relationship with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).<\/p>\n
In upcoming scenes, the cab driver will try to reignite the spark with Kat during a panto performance, casting himself as Prince Charming and hoping to share a kiss with Kat as Snow White. Things don\u2019t go according to plan when Sharon insists on doing the casting, choosing Honey for the role.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlfie had this great plan from the off \u2013 the panto was just another ploy for him to get back with Kat,\u201d Richie explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis idea was to put on this panto, and he\u2019d play Prince Charming, and she\u2019d be Snow White. They\u2019d have a big kiss at the end, in front of the whole of Walford and bang, she\u2019d fall in love with him again.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlfie has this mystical, magical story in his head that this is all it\u2019s going to take.\u201d<\/p>

When Honey falls ill, Alfie talks Kat into standing in at the last minute. She accepts, giving her ex the chance to rewrite the story.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll of a sudden, the Huntsman is basically Phil, and Alfie turns the whole story into the Kat and Alfie story,\u201d the actor continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s all about how they met, how Phil\u2019s got in the way, but they are going to have a happy ending. The whole thing is done within the panto genre \u2013 the writers were really clever.<\/p>\n
\u201cKat is great on stage, and she\u2019s wooing the crowd, and Alfie is there looking at her, thinking, \u2018There\u2019s the love of my life!\u2019 and he thinks it\u2019s going to be roses all over again. He\u2019s going to win her back from Phil, but there\u2019s a little twist at the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just got it in his head that if they have one passionate kiss, he can break the spell,\u201d Richie said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlfie thinks Kat\u2019s under Phil\u2019s spell, and if he can just give her a kiss, he\u2019ll break it. If he can remind her of the magic that Kat and Alfie had, he can get back with her. He\u2019s like a dog with a bone \u2013 he will not let go.\u201d<\/p>\n
But will Kat agree? Or will her ex\u2019s persistence put her off a possible reunion?<\/p>\n
