It\u2019s sad news for those who wanted to see Mr Napkin Head make his return to the silver screen, as The Holiday<\/a> isn\u2019t getting a sequel. At least for now.<\/p>\n Tabloid reports yesterday (6th December) claimed that the original cast, made up of Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black, would be reuniting 17 years after The Holiday was first released \u2013 and became a festive hit.<\/p>\n But the 2006 film\u2019s writer and director Nancy Meyers confirmed that the news wasn\u2019t true in an Instagram<\/a> post. \u201cSo many DM\u2019s about this \u2013 sorry but it\u2019s not true,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n Speaking at the premiere of Avatar: The Way of Water<\/a>, Winslet also denied the rumours.<\/p>\n \u201cI was almost like, hang on, who\u2019s planning all of this because no one\u2019s ever consulted me,\u201d she told ET<\/a>. \u201cNo, as far as I know, it\u2019s not true.\u201d<\/p>\n However, she did suggest she would be interested in continuing the story if a sequel ever did happen.<\/p>\n \u201cIt would be so fun to see Miles and Iris get back together,\u201d she said. \u201cI kind of imagine, how cute would their children be?\u201d<\/p>\n Kate Winslet has the BEST reaction to finding out about those ‘The Holiday’ sequel rumors. \ud83d\ude2d #AvatarTheWayOfWater<\/a> pic.twitter.com\/FFlgLXoOuf<\/a><\/p>\u2014 Entertainment Tonight (@etnow) December 6, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote>
