There\u2019s not long to go until the third film in the popular After franchise is released in some territories \u2013 and although no release date for the UK has been released just yet, the excitement is definitely building among the fanbase.<\/p>\n
And the extra good news is that the series won\u2019t be ending after the third film, with a fourth entry having been filmed back to back \u2013 presumably meaning that there won\u2019t be a huge wait between the two new films.<\/p>\n
Titled After We Fell and After Ever Happy respectively, the third and fourth films are once again based on the\u00a0books of\u00a0the same name<\/a> by Anna Todd, following the tumultuous teen relationship between Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin).<\/p>\n The first book actually began life as fan faction penned by Todd on the website Wattpad, following a student at Washington State University who gets caught up in a relationship with One Direction star Harry Styles.<\/p>\n Read on for everything you need to know about After We Fell.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, we\u2019re still waiting for a UK release date \u2013 although based on when the film is debuting in other countries there hopefully won\u2019t be too much longer for UK fans to wait.<\/p>\n The film will first premiere in in Italy, Poland, and Sweden on 1st September 2021, while according to a poster it will open in a whole load of other countries on the 2nd and 3rd September.<\/p>\n The same poster lists the US release as October 2021 and the UK date as TBC\u00a0 \u2013 we\u2019ll keep this page updated as soon as After We Fell\u2019s official UK release date is confirmed.<\/p>\n You can watch the tease trailer for After We Fell, featuring Langford and Fiennes Tiffin, below.<\/p>\n\n Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin reprise their roles as the central couple, college student Tessa and rebel Hardin; however, a number of already familiar characters are set to be replaced in After We Fell.<\/p>\n Chance Perdomo (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) will play Landon, a\u00a0role originated\u00a0by Shane Paul McGhie.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, True Blood star Stephen Moyer will play Christian Vance, previously played by Charlie Weber.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Mira Sorvino will replace Selma Blair as Carol, while Arielle Kebbel will play Kimberly, a role originated by Candice King (The Vampire Diaries).<\/p>\n The cast also includes Carter Jenkins (Famous in Love) in the new role of Robert, while Louise Lombard and Rob Estes return as Hardin\u2019s parents Trish and Scott.<\/p>\n But Dylan Sprouse will not return for either the third or the fourth installments after being introduced as new character Trevor in second film After We Collided.<\/p> <\/div>\n It\u2019s expected that the film will dig deeper into Hardin\u2019s relationship with his parents, while Tessa also has some family drama of her own to deal with.<\/p>\n \u201cJust as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes,\u201d the synopsis for After We Fell reads.<\/p>\n \u201cRevelations about her family, and then Hardin\u2019s, throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n After We Collided<\/a> saw Tessa develop feelings for Trevor (played by Dylan Sprouse), a co-worker at the publishing firm she interned at.<\/p>\n She also reckoned with everything she had sacrificed for her relationship with the rebellious Hardin, including friendships and her ex-boyfriend, Noah.<\/p>\n After We Fell will premiere later this year.
