The actor will be back as the Time Lord\u00a0<\/span>following the regeneration twist at the end of The Power of the Doctor<\/a> back in October.<\/span><\/p>\n Tennant will portray a new Fourteenth Doctor \u2013 not his original Tenth Doctor \u2013 in\u00a0<\/span>three anniversary specials<\/a> which are set to air in November 2023, alongside Catherine Tate as companion Donna Noble, before Ncuti Gatwa takes over the baton as <\/span>the Fifteenth Doctor later in 2023<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking of his return on ITV\u2019s This Morning to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, Tennant said:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cIt was like being handed a very lovely present. It was joyous. It was great fun. It was a very happy joyous time on set 15 years ago, and returning to that could\u2019ve been \u2013 might\u2019ve felt awkward, it might have felt difficult. I might not have been able to run as fast\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n He continued: \u201cWe had a lovely time.
