<\/p>
While his surname might be Osbourne, Daniel (played by Rob Mallard) is a Barlow through and through \u2013 and that might come to bite Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) in the coming weeks and months on Coronation Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n Daniel is due to propose to Daisy in the coming weeks but while love might genuinely be in the air, there\u2019s no escaping his roots (this is coming at the same time Ken Barlow finds himself in the middle of a love triangle, after all!).<\/p>\n But will Daniel actually follow in his dad\u2019s footsteps?<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a one person person. He\u2019s not one of these people that goes, \u2018Oh, this will do for now\u2019,\u201d Mallard told press including RadioTimes.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe very much thinks about what they\u2019re going to look like when they\u2019re old\u2026 He\u2019s not a Barlow by name, he\u2019s an Osbourne by name, but by nature, he\u2019s definitely a Barlow.<\/p> \u201cI imagine if he met a woman who was really close to him in terms of interests and if things weren\u2019t going too well with him and Daisy, who knows?\u201d<\/p>\n Daniel most definitely shares other traits with the Barlows, like his dependency on alcohol among other things.<\/p>\n Mallard continued: \u201cChris Gascoyne [who plays Peter Barlow] was telling me that someone said to him that getting Barlow-ed means going out and getting absolutely smashed.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s the way they tend to handle things \u2013 they\u2019re a very emotional bunch, aren\u2019t they?\u201d<\/p>\n As for whether Daniel will actually cheat, viewers will have to keep watching \u2013 but there\u2019s one thing for certain: Daniel and Daisy do make a good couple.<\/p>\n Jordan added: \u201cI think they work really well together.
