<\/p>
Following Casualty\u2019s dramatic paramedic special<\/a>, many viewers will be wondering what\u2019s coming next on the long-running drama.<\/p>\n Executive producer of Casualty, Jon Sen, has opened up on the future of the series, speaking about how it will air in miniseries from now on.<\/p>\n Talking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Sen explained how these miniseries will feature one main storyline with a few others weaved in subtly.<\/p>\n The paramedic storyline closed up Jan\u2019s (Di Botcher) arc, and the next one will turn to Dylan (William Beck).<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re doing a Dylan story from the next episode after the paramedic special,\u201d Sen confirmed. \u201cWe begin a new story about him spotting abuse within the community and how he goes about solving that.<\/p> \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThen we have some new joiners. In the next miniseries, we\u2019ve got four new junior nurses joining fresh-faced. That miniseries is called \u2018Welcome to the Warzone\u2019. And we will watch them as they join and then really grapple with what it is to work in an ICU hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n Explaining more about the miniseries format, Sen said: \u201cIt carries on like that. We hope we\u2019re giving the audience both serial drama in terms of hooks and long-term story.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s still the same characters, we\u2019re not changing our characters week in week out.
