EastEnders\u00a0fans may want Linda (Kellie Bright) and Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) to get back together, but Janine Butcher<\/a>\u2018s pregnancy may put an end to their romance for good.<\/p>\n

In recent episodes, Janine (Charlie Brooks) discovered she\u2019s expecting a baby, which may just be the final nail in Mick and Linda\u2019s marriage coffin. At least according to Kellie Bright, who has been playing Linda since 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cLinda\u2019s world has crumbled, it\u2019s in tatters, but I think she\u2019s resigned to it,\u201d she said. \u201cFrom the moment she knew Mick and Janine were having a baby together, that was it because Linda knew Mick was never going to walk away from a child.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe baby changes everything no matter what she thinks or says about Janine. Before the wedding, Linda had already let Mick go, but there is a shock and finality of Janine being the new Mrs Carter. That\u2019s what Linda has always been, so it\u2019s another turn of the knife.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Janine continuously plotting against Linda<\/a>, Bright is convinced her character\u2019s concerns won\u2019t be heard and that Mick\u2019s new relationship is destined to last.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as Linda is concerned, Mick has made his decision,\u201d the actress said.\u00a0\u201cLinda has given him all the opportunities to back out and not go through with it, but she knows in her heart of hearts that because Janine is having his baby, there\u2019s no question he absolutely would.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Mick and Linda have history and nothing can change that, resulting in the two sharing several affectionate moments, much to Janine\u2019s chagrin.<\/p>\n

In a desperate attempt to keep Linda away from Jada Lennox (Kelsey Calladine-Smith), who\u2019s returning in upcoming scenes<\/a>, Janine invites her rival over for Christmas \u2013 an unexpected move that only conceals Janine\u2019s fears that Jada may admit she had been bribed to plant alcohol bottles in Linda\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

Bright said of the invitation: \u201cLinda wonders what on earth is going on. But then again, it\u2019s one thing inviting Linda in for Christmas lunch, but it\u2019s Linda\u2019s pub, and Janine can\u2019t invite her into her own pub!<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no way that Linda wouldn\u2019t have arranged to see Oli that day anyway. So as far as Linda\u2019s concerned, it\u2019s weird that Janine has invited her to Christmas lunch, but I think any time that she gets to be with Oli is a bonus.\u201d<\/p>
