While a number of the sitcom\u2019s stars have spoken about Gavin and Stacey coming back in the past, Stacey herself \u2013 Joanna Page \u2013 has become the latest to deliver an update on its return.<\/p>\n
The Welsh actress told Loose Women this morning that she would \u201clove to do another\u201d Gavin and Stacey special, but had \u201chonestly no idea\u201d whether it would happen.<\/p>\n

<\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/picture><\/div>\u201cI\u2019m just the same as everybody else because they don\u2019t tell us!\u201d she said. \u201cThey\u2019ve never told us any more that they\u2019re doing anything, so it\u2019s only when you get a phone call and they say, \u2018There\u2019s a special, do you want to do it?\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cThey don\u2019t tell us anything and I\u2019ve never ever asked. I\u2019ve never said, \u2018Oh Ruth [Jones], do you think you\u2019ll do another one or is there going to be more?\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just not that sort of person. I\u2019ve always just thought, we\u2019ll wait and see and if there is, there is and if there isn\u2019t, there isn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n
Page added that after filming the 2019 special, she thought that the show was bound to return. \u201cI did think, \u2018There is another one, there\u2019s got to be another one.\u2019 We\u2019ve got to find out what Smithy says!\u201d<\/p>
To the disappointment of the comedy\u2019s fans, she went on to say that it may have been \u201ctoo long\u201d since Gavin and Stacey has been on our screens to bring it back.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs time\u2019s going by, I\u2019ve started to think, \u2018Well maybe it\u2019s been too long? Maybe there isn\u2019t going to be another one,\u2019 which makes me sad because I\u2019d love to do another one. If they do, I hope they hurry up because we\u2019re all getting old!\u201d<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, Alison Steadman, who plays Pam, revealed that she wasn\u2019t sure if Gavin and Stacey would return<\/a>, adding: \u201cI doubt it\u2019ll go again.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, James Corden, who created the show with Ruth Jones, said in June that new episodes were a matter of \u201cif\u201d and not \u201cwhen\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n Loose Women airs weekdays from 12:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
