<\/p>
This Sunday sees His Dark Materials<\/a> return for its third and final season on BBC One \u2013 with all eight episodes also landing on BBC iPlayer as a boxset.<\/p>\n Despite a couple of minor alterations here and there, the series has largely stayed very faithful to Philip Pullman\u2019s beloved book trilogy of the same name, and that looks set to be the case once again in the final season.<\/p>\n Fans of the books will know that means the show includes a particularly memorable moment involving Lyra and Will towards the end of the series, and back during filming stars Dafne Keen and Amir Wilson spoke to RadioTimes.com<\/a> ahead of shooting those key scenes.<\/p>\n \u201cI personally don\u2019t feel that stressed out by it, because I think we\u2019re so used to working together, and so comfortable with each other acting,\u201d explained Keen. \u201cIt feels like that\u2019s the bit that will come the most, I guess, natural. It\u2019s the easiest bit. It\u2019s less crazy.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re not in the Land of the Dead with Harpies doing insane things. It\u2019s just us and the crew somewhere in the sunshine, having intense scenes!\u201d<\/p> \u201cI agree with what Dafne says,\u201d added Wilson. \u201cI mean, look, any time you\u2019re doing something that\u2019s based off a book that has a lot of fans \u2013 well, for me at least; it might not be the same for Dafne. But for me, at least, I feel like\u2026 not just with those scenes, but on a whole, there\u2019s always a tiny bit of pressure to do it right.<\/p>\n \u201cBecause, of course, these are people\u2019s favourite characters, and if you\u2019re portraying them, you don\u2019t want to do that badly, because it would ruin someone\u2019s vision of what they wanted, and what they thought. So there\u2019s always that sort of pressure.\u201d<\/p>\n Keen agreed: \u201cThe book [has] such a massive fanbase. There\u2019s always that pressure. And there is always going to be someone who doesn\u2019t like what you\u2019ve done with it, always, no matter what you do. So you just have to try to do your best job.
