So 3D we really believe enhances your experience and the audience\u2019s experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"&quot;x_MsoNormal&quot;\">He added: \u201cI think that when we were making the first Avatar there was zero appetite for 3D. There were next to zero screens that could do 3D. But it didn\u2019t stop us because we believed in it \u2013 and we still believe in it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"&quot;x_MsoNormal&quot;\">\u201cI\u2019m not saying it should be ubiquitous in the business, but we believe that when you want to transport someone to the world of Pandora it is an essential element of giving them the best possible experience of that story.\u201d<\/p> <div class=\"&quot;brightcove\" embed=\"\"> <div class=\"&quot;embed__intrinsic&quot;\"> <div class=\"&quot;brightcove__player\" vjs-playlist-player-container=\"\"> <video data-video-id=\"6317065498112\" data-account=\"69912529001\" data-player=\"ByeOf0VZEl\" data-embed=\"&quot;default&quot;\" data-application-id=\"\" controls=\"\" class=\"&quot;video-js&quot;\"> <\/video> <\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<script src=\"&quot;\/\/players.brightcove.net\/69912529001\/ByeOf0VZEl_default\/index.min.js&quot;\"\/> <p>Landau went on to discuss some of the major technological advances that had been made in the time between production on the original film and the sequel, particularly highlighting the benefits of high dynamic range.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat just didn\u2019t exist before,\u201d he said. \u201cWe already had facial performance capture, we\u2019re now doing it better, we\u2019re now doing it with more nuance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the high dynamic range, it enhances the close-up, it enhances the detail, it enhances the detail you see in the iris, it enhances the tear coming down the cheek.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like to say we see our lives in high dynamic range \u2013 but projectors, film, cameras couldn\u2019t capture all of that before.
