We always thought upcoming survival game Valheim looked pretty badass, and the early access (released on 2nd February 2021) only cemented that view.<\/p>\n

Set in a sort of limbo (a procedurally generated limbo, loosely based on the Norse world Yggdrasil), we must prove our mettle by defeating the evil of Valheim in order to enter Valhalla.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a game of survival in which we have to craft tools and use our wits to survive a brutal sandbox world \u2013 think ARK with Viking lore. Like ARK, though, it\u2019s a tough experience.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re struggling, and don\u2019t mind the Norse gods forever judging you, you could always cheat your way to Valhalla. Or you could just use the cheats to mess around, it\u2019s up to you \u2013 but we\u2019re going to share them below!<\/p>

How to use cheats in Valheim<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Using cheats for Valheim on Steam or Game Pass isn\u2019t quite as simple as punching a code into an in-game menu. We\u2019ll share how to activate the cheats for both versions.<\/p>\n

For the Steam version, you\u2019ll need to activate the in-game console by setting it as a launch option in Steam. Do this by right-clicking Valheim in your Steam library and selecting \u201cproperties\u201d. In the \u201cgeneral\u201d tab, find the \u201claunch options\u201d field \u2013 punch in \u201c-console\u201d, close the tab, open the game, and you should be good to go!<\/p>\n

For Game Pass, you\u2019ll also have to activate the in-game console. In the game\u2019s installation folder, find the Valheim.exe file, right click it, and select \u201ccreate shortcut\u201d. Right click the shortcut (wherever you saved it), and select \u201cProperties\u201d. In the \u201cshortcut\u201d tab, add \u201c-console\u201d to the end of the Target field, click \u201capply\u201d, then \u201cOK\u201d. Once you launch the game from the shortcut, you should be all good to cheat away.<\/p>\n
