The actress will remain in the soap<\/a> following Danny Dyer\u2019s departure of his role as Mick Carter on the BBC One show after nine years.<\/p>\n The Christmas Day episode saw Mick Carter wade into the waves of the choppy sea at night in an effort to save Linda.<\/p>\n Unbeknownst to Mick, Linda emerged from the sea herself and joined Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) on the shore, and screamed after Mick who had disappeared into the waves.<\/p>\n Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/span><\/a> and other press, actress Kellie Bright discussed what life will be like for Linda after Mick\u2019s watery exit.<\/p> Bright revealed: \u201cWell, let\u2019s just say Linda doesn\u2019t get over this anytime soon. You know, she\u2019s not gonna, Mick is the love of her life.\u201d<\/p>\n The actress teased: \u201cI\u2019m only up to Feb but we\u2019ve just filmed some Valentine\u2019s Day stuff and \u2026 there\u2019s a little picture of Mick up behind the bar and I\u2019m wishing you Happy Valentine\u2019s Day. It\u2019s still very \u2026 he\u2019s still very present for her in that way.<\/p>\n \u201cI do know a little bit about what\u2019s in store for Linda, but I can\u2019t tell anyone. I\u2019ve only just found out myself which I\u2019m excited about it, which is really good because there was definitely a moment after Danny went where I just thought, \u2018Oh, God, it\u2019s so weird here now.\u2019 It\u2019s so weird being like one half of something almost, you know what I mean? It\u2019s that feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n On how Linda carries on without Mick, Bright added: \u201cLinda is a tough cookie. You know, I\u2019ve always said she\u2019s Barbie with a core of iron. She\u2019ll definitely find her way through this.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd also she\u2019s mother to Ollie and Annie, and I think that will drive her forward.\u201d<\/p>\n Bright did note that she\u2019s excited for the coming year on the soap. \u201cI know I\u2019m part of something that\u2019s going to be quite big and I\u2019m quite excited about that.\u201d<\/p>\n As Danny Dyer revealed his curiosity over \u201cwho the f**k they\u2019re gonna put her with\u201d, Bright added that she hoped for no romance for Linda for a while.<\/p>\n Executive producer Chris Clenshaw said Linda will remain \u201cat the heart\u201d of Albert Square.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so great to have Kellie, what can I tease? I mean, as she says, she\u2019s not going to let go of Mick very quickly. She was just reunited with him and then, obviously, he was snatched away from her.
