Netflix has released a first look at young Lady Agatha Danbury (Arsema Thomas) in the upcoming Bridgerton prequel series.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story<\/a> will delve into the early stages of Charlotte\u2019s marriage to King George and her rise to power, with\u00a0<\/span>Thomas\u2019s Danbury becoming\u00a0an early confidante of the Queen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Netflix<\/a>\u2018s official character description reads: \u201cWith keen knowledge of the once divided social scene and the intricacies of marriage, Agatha becomes a guiding light for the new Queen, all while finding her own voice and power.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first-look image of young Danbury (above) shows her in conversation with the Queen, donning a typically extravagant tiara and necklace.<\/span><\/p>\n

India Amarteifio will portray the younger version of Charlotte in the series, while\u00a0<\/span>Golda <\/span>Rosheuvel<\/span>, who plays the monarch in Bridgerton, is reprising her role in the spin-off.<\/span><\/p>\n

A first-look trailer previously gave fans a look at Amarteifio\u2019s Charlotte<\/a>, showing that while she may be younger, she\u2019s just as<\/span>\u00a0petulant and short-tempered as Rosheuvel\u2019s\u00a0fan-favourite character from the main series.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adjoa Andoh will also reprise her<\/span>\u00a0Bridgerton role of\u00a0<\/span>Lady Danbury, w<\/span>hile Ruth Gemmell will once again take on the role of Lady Violet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile<\/span>, Corey Mylchreest is set to portray a young King George,\u00a0with\u00a0Game of Thrones<\/a> veteran Michelle Fairley portraying Princess Augusta.<\/span><\/p>\n

The cast is rounded out by Sam Clemmett as a young Brimsley, Richard Cunningham as Lord Bute, Tunji Kasim as Adolphus, Rob Maloney as the royal doctor, and Cyril Nri as Lord Danbury.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rosheuvel was previously quizzed<\/span>\u00a0about Queen Charlotte\u2019s Bridgerton spin-off<\/a> while walking the red carpet at the Virgin Media BAFTA TV Awards in 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be interesting to delve in and see some backstory,\u201d she said. \u201cI know questions are being asked about her.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She also <\/span>assured fans that the world of Bridgerton will continue to spotlight some of the UK\u2019s historic estates, adding:<\/span>\u00a0\u201cI think we\u2019ve got some really amazing houses here and beautiful grounds and manor houses and palaces, and they are definitely being celebrated.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

While there isn\u2019t an official release date just yet,\u00a0<\/span>Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story<\/span> is scheduled for release in spring 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n
