Hoping to win a \u00a3250,000 investment in his business from Lord Alan Sugar is businessman Sohail Chowdhary, who runs his own martial arts school.<\/p>\n
Although \u201ccalm and collected\u201d, Sohail isn\u2019t one to play with when it comes to work, and he\u2019s ready to take on the other 17 Apprentice 2023 candidates<\/a> in the boardroom.<\/p>\n We\u2019ll have to wait until Thursday 5th January to see whether Sohail is all talk or really about his business, so as he makes his debut on the BBC One show, here\u2019s everything you need to know about him.<\/p>\n Job: <\/b>Owner, martial arts school<\/span><\/p>\n From: <\/b>Southampton<\/span><\/p>\n Instagram: <\/strong>@_sohailchowdhary<\/a><\/p>\n Martial Arts Instructor Sohail owns his own school in Southampton, known as AG Martial Arts. According to the official Instagram page, the school accepts students aged three and above, and also offers a free trial session.<\/p>\n While Chowdhary prides himself on his relaxed nature, he has a warning for the other candidates: \u201cI am calm and collected, but if they do come at me? I will bite and I will sting, and I will leave my mark,\u201d he says.<\/span><\/p>\n So, why does he deserve Lord Sugar\u2019s investment?<\/p>\n \u201cI was raised in a council house and I\u2019m proud of that, but that means I\u2019ve had to fight hard to achieve the comfortable life I lead today. I\u2019ve got a proven track record behind me and if the previous five years are anything to go by, the next five are going to be something special. Plus, owning a martial arts business means Lord Sugar can learn how to kick ass for free.\u201d<\/p> When it comes to setbacks, Sohail said he could work on his listening skills.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cMy biggest weakness would be sometimes not listening to others when on the very rare occasion I might be wrong. I\u2019ll always be the person that looks out for the little guy and sometimes that means that I will put emotions before business.
