Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press at a Q&A for the new season, Sugar said that Littner took a step back due to \u201cmedical issues\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cObviously it\u2019s been a great journey starting with [former aide] Nick Hewer and then Claude. Unfortunately, Claude suffered some medical issues and so I was asked to think of someone else \u2013 and who better than somebody who\u2019s actually been through the process,\u201d he said, referring to Campbell.<\/p>\n \u201cSo it was a bit of a no-brainer really, because when it comes to making excuses like these candidates do, you\u2019ve got Tim there, who\u2019s been there, done that, seen it and heard it all,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd that\u2019s why I warn the candidates also that there\u2019s no pulling the wool over his eyes, so to speak.\u201d<\/p>\n Campbell added: \u201cTo be clear, [Claude is] back again so he will be there towards the end as well for the interviews.
