Is there love on the cards for Lady Liberty? <\/p>

Liberty Poole has emerged as one of the favourites to win this year\u2019s series of Love Island<\/a>\u00a0after coupling up with Jake Cornish \u2013 and RadioTimes.com<\/a> readers recently backed the pair to win an exclusive poll.<\/p>\n

But their relationship hit something of an obstacle during the recent movie night challenge after she was shown a clip of Jake claiming that he did not want to \u201crip her clothes off\u201d earlier in the series.<\/p>\n

Liberty was clearly upset by the comments and described the situation as her \u201cworst nightmare\u201d \u2013 suggesting that she now had doubts about their relationship, even after Jake reassured her that he doesn\u2019t stand by those earlier comments.<\/p>\n

So can they move past this situation and go on to win the series?<\/p>\n

Why does Liberty want to take part in Love Island?<\/h2>\n

There are a number of reasons why Liberty thought taking part in the show was a good idea. Love is definitely on her mind, but so is making new friendships and having some fun \u2013 we think she could be a real ball of energy in that villa!<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never had that nice, happy relationship so I think it will be nice and something for me to experience. Obviously, I want the best summer ever because we have been in lockdown for a year so it would be nice to go away and enjoy the sun and make friends as well. I\u2019m excited, I\u2019m a bit of a social butterfly so I love to meet new people. I\u2019m a girls\u2019 girl as well so I can\u2019t wait for the girly friendships. It\u2019s going to be fun!\u201d<\/p>\n

She has also admitted that she is happy she was able to keep the secret that she was going in as she is normally quite the chatterbox and was worried she would end up blabbing \u2013 happily for Liberty, she was able to hold her tongue!<\/p>\n

But when the show starts, Liberty is determined to remain true to herself, saying: \u201cBeing myself got me through the audition process,\u201d and that she hopes the experience will be \u201cthe summer of a lifetime\u201d. We\u2019re sure it will be!<\/p>

What does Liberty do for work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Liberty is a waitress who worked for Nando\u2019s and if you thought that she may be chatted up from time to time while working there you would be correct \u2013 she has even been proposed to by a customer which is definitely a bold move.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had people try and rinse me for a date at Nando\u2019s, get the discount and stuff. But I\u2019ve never had a date in one. I\u2019ve had a few things happen at work. I\u2019ve had a napkin shaped like a rose given to me which was cute, that was when I first started working there and then I\u2019ve been proposed to. It was a bit unexpected!<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was on his own, he\u2019d come into the restaurant every week and he got down on one knee and was like, \u2018Will you marry me?\u2019. But in his hand, it was a charity support badge, not a diamond ring. So I was thinking, that\u2019s one way of saying I\u2019m a charity case when it comes to love!\u201d<\/p>\n

What is Liberty looking for in a partner?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Liberty knows where she has gone wrong with her choice of romantic partner before and she is looking to change that up going forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like a tall, alpha male, confident, cheeky chappy sort of guy. But obviously, that\u2019s always usually combined with player types, which is where I go wrong. So I am trying to change my ways and go for more of a nicer guy that is going to treat me right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jack Fincham is a name from Love Island\u2019s past that she has singled out as her ideal match when it comes to personality \u2013 as is Nathan Massey from the second series so she will be hoping for someone similar to them to be a part of the show this year \u2013 we can\u2019t imagine she will have too much trouble there.<\/p>\n

But what if she meets her perfect match but he opts to couple up with someone else? If that happens, then Liberty should be fine as she has a very refreshing take on it that should see her stay clear from any drama that this sort of thing normally stirs up.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re in another couple and a guy chooses another girl over you, I don\u2019t think that takes anything away from who you are as a person. They just have a better connection. I always say there\u2019s someone out there for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy friends actually say I\u2019m too nice\u201d she added,\u00a0 \u201cthey say I should stick up for myself more.\u201d<\/p>\n

But what about the question that everyone seems to want to know the answer for \u2013 could Liberty end up being one of the contestants to get a bit too frisky in the villa? \u201cI think my initial answer would be no, I wouldn\u2019t have sex in the villa. But if it is a natural step in the relationship, well, I wouldn\u2019t completely rule it out.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for the sort of person Liberty is, she is \u201cglam\u201d but she admits to having a few bad habits like having a tendency to snore on occasion. \u201cI tend to talk too much, maybe that\u2019s a bad habit\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
