The disgraced businessman, played by Todd Boyce, went bad at the end of last year to try to cover up his financial troubles.<\/p>\n
After he accidentally killed Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost) in a heated confrontation, Stephen\u2019s web of lies spread out, with things taking a turn when his victim\u2019s father Teddy (Grant Burgin) came to Weatherfield to investigate.<\/p>\n
In new scenes, Stephen will finish what he started before Christmas when he tried to take Teddy off his life support at the hospital.\u00a0As the latter wakes up from his coma<\/a>, Stephen has to make a risky decision: he murders Teddy.<\/p>\n Boyce revealed he has known Stephen would make a second victim all along.\u00a0Speaking with producer Iain MacLeod, the actor was informed his character wouldn\u2019t stop at Leo.<\/p>\n \u201cThen [Iain] said there will be another murder at some point \u2013 it has come sooner than I expected,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s gonna try everything he can to talk Teddy down and talk Teddy around. He knows that if that doesn\u2019t work, he\u2019s probably going to have to kill him. With Leo, he was just hiding financial malfeasance, that\u2019s why he wanted to not report Leo\u2019s kind of accidental death.<\/p>\n \u201cBut now that he\u2019s got one body down, he\u2019s perfectly willing to cover that up with another murder.\u201d<\/p> This begs the question as to whether Stephen will add yet another victim to his kill list, particularly as MacLeod has previously teased a head-to-head with Underworld owner Carla Connor<\/a> (Alison King).<\/p>\n Boyce confirmed that Carla is \u201cskating on thin ice\u201d belittling Stephen.<\/p>\n \u201cCarla\u2019s getting on his wick. She\u2019s humiliated him on two occasions in front of his former colleagues when he was a bigwig in Milan and they\u2019ve wandered into Underworld or into his business, and I keep pretending I\u2019m just doing some consultancy work and she\u2019s got me out the back in packing,\u201d the actor said.<\/p>\n \u201cShe just spoils my cover and is, \u2018Go on, get back to packing\u2019 so she crushes me in front of them.
