Paddy is currently nursing a broken heart after splitting from adulterous wife Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter)<\/a>, but it seems that we can expect him to be at the centre of yet another big plot this year.<\/span><\/p>\n In an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Brunt revealed: \u201cI\u2019ve got a story that culminates in March sometime, that\u2019s quite interesting as well. I can\u2019t say a single thing about it, but it\u2019s going to be interesting.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Exactly what this means for beloved village vet Paddy remains to be seen, but recent Emmerdale<\/a> spoilers have teased that he will begin to feel increasingly isolated from his extended family while the once ousted Chas makes amends with the Dingles.<\/span><\/p>\n Could this be a sign of what\u2019s to come? The actor can\u2019t offer any further hints just yet, but he added: \u201cI really like the delicate little dramas and the little explosions that go on between people, and there\u2019s loads of that coming up.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n He also gave us an insight into how it felt to play out the big confrontation between Paddy and Chas<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201c<\/span>He\u2019s an everyman\u2019s wet blanket, that\u2019s what he is!\u201d he said of poor Paddy. \u201cHe\u2019s a complete drip, [but] he means well. It\u2019s been good to do those dimensions, losing your temper. I very rarely get to lose my temper [as Paddy], so that was great to let loose.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe reveal of the house was fantastic. The press purposely didn\u2019t say anything. Everybody thought it was going to be on Christmas Day, so actually we pulled that rug out from underneath people\u2019s feet from nowhere. It was a great surprise.\u201d<\/span><\/p> However, there was one aspect of the showdown that Brunt didn\u2019t enjoy filming. \u201c<\/span>It was funny because on Twitter, there [were] a lot of people going \u2018Oh yeah, Paddy you tell her, she deserved that!\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWell, doing it wasn\u2019t very comfortable because Lucy\u2019s my friend. We work together closely every single day, and I was screaming hot air into her face<\/a> [at] the top of my lungs and everybody\u2019s going \u2018Yeah, well done!\u2019 [but] I don\u2019t think so! It wasn\u2019t the greatest feeling in the world at all \u2013 it was quite uncomfortable.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While we wait to find out how Paddy fares over the course of 2023<\/a>, Brunt has also been busy working on new horror film Wolf Manor<\/a>\u00a0with his wife, Joanne Mitchell.
