Baker will return as the Fourth Doctor in Big Finish’s latest series of Doctor Who \u2013\u00a0The Lost Stories. <\/p>
Tom Baker is set to reprise his role as the Fourth Doctor in Big Finish\u2019s upcoming adaptations of lost Doctor Who<\/a> episodes.<\/p>\n The two episodes \u2013 Doctor Who and the Ark and Daleks! Genesis of Terror \u2013 were written by screenwriter John Lucarotti and Terry Nation, creator of the Daleks, respectively and are set for release in March 2023.<\/p>\n Big Finish recently rediscovered the episodes\u2019 original scripts and initial story outlines and will be adapting them into audio adventures as part of their series, Doctor Who \u2013 The Lost Stories.<\/p>\n A version of Doctor Who and the Ark originally aired in January 1975 as The Ark in Space, in which the Fourth Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen) and Harry Sullivan (Ian Marter) explored a space station overtaken by alien insects The Wirrn, while Nation\u2019s story Genesis of the Daleks was broadcast in March, with the trio heading to Skaro to stop the creation of the Daleks.<\/p> Sadie Miller, daughter of Elisabeth Sladen, will play Sarah Jane Smith while Christopher Naylor voices Harry Sullivan.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is something very special: <\/span><\/span>Doctor Who<\/span><\/span> archaeology brought thrillingly to life,\u201d producer Simon Guerrier said in a statement. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe Ark in Space<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Genesis of the Daleks<\/span><\/span>\u00a0are among the best-loved TV stories ever. We\u2019ve uncovered first draft scripts by John\u00a0<\/span>Lucarotti<\/span> and Terry Nation that are exciting, surprising and very different.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cGenesis <\/span><\/span>is a very visual script packed with striking, stark images \u2013 Nation even makes the stage directions exciting. In\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Doctor Who and the Ark<\/span><\/span>, the directions were more functional so Jonathan Morris has carefully adapted the script for audio. Though we\u2019ve kept the original episode titles, such as \u2018Puffball\u2019 and \u2018Camelias\u2019 \u2013 I think Tom Baker enjoyed recording those! Oh, and wait till you hear <\/span><\/span>that\u00a0<\/span><\/span>cliffhanger.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Doctor Who and the Ark and Daleks!
