In a recent chat with iFL TV<\/a>, Dyer spoke about the \u201cgood reaction\u201d to his final scenes over Christmas.<\/p>\n \u201cI was very surprised at the amount of love I got from it really. I didn\u2019t quite know how it was gonna go down,\u201d the actor revealed.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cI felt my character had lost his way. I didn\u2019t quite know who I was playing anymore, it was a really odd thing.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor bid farewell to Walford in December last year in a dramatic \u2013 and seemingly not so definitive \u2013 resolution of Mick\u2019s love triangle with villain Janine (Charlie Brooks) and his ex-wife Linda (Kellie Bright).<\/p>\n After a dramatic car chase, Mick dived into the sea to save Linda but never re-emerged. Did he actually drown<\/a>?<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019ve kept it open. I could turn up in three years smothered in seaweed,\u201d Dyer teased.<\/p> As for whether he would be up for returning to EastEnders, the actor remained adamant it is time to embrace new projects after 11 years as an Albert Square resident.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very grateful for that job.
